Ohio Superintendent of Public Instruction Paolo DeMaria is visiting for an assembly about the "Positivity Project," the school's successful character education program. But there's another reason for the event ... and it involves a big surprise for one unsuspecting educator. Dr. Jane Foley, senior vice president of the Milken Educator Awards, names fourth-grade teacher Krista Trent Ohio's 2018-19 Milken Educator, the first recipient from Northern Local School District. With the Award and its accompanying $25,000 check, the teacher's life is forever changed.
