Illinois Educator Jessica Wentz Receives Surprise $25,000 Milken Award

 

Back in the classroom, Jessica Wentz teaches her first graders a lesson. From Lincoln Grade School student to first grade teacher, Wentz is making learning an adventure—whether it's through "Adjective Runway" fashion shows or "Hulk Smash" math games! With her passion for data-driven teaching and a love for science-based methods, she’s transforming her classroom and supporting fellow educators to ensure every child at Lincoln succeeds. Wentz also serves on multiple committees, mentors new teachers, and stays connected with families to support students at home.
