It’s a great morning at Malcolm E. Nettingham Middle School in Scotch Plains! At a surprise assembly, Milken Educator Awards Senior Vice President Dr. Jane Foley presents fifth grade teacher Emily Litz with the honor of a 2024-25 New Jersey Milken Educator Award and an unrestricted $25,000 cash prize! New Jersey Acting Commissioner of Education Kevin Dehmer joins the celebration to honor Emily as an outstanding educator in front of students, colleagues, dignitaries and media.
