Dawn McLain Joins AR Milken Educators

North Little Rock Middle School is rolling out the red carpet for Arkansas Commissioner of Education Johnny Key, who is visiting to recognize the school for piloting the state's new Opportunity Culture program. But there's another reason Commissioner Key is here, which comes to light when he and Mike Milken, co-founder of the Milken Family Foundation, surprise math and science teacher Dawn McLain with Arkansas' 2017-18 Milken Educator Award.
