Christine Bayard Joins LA Milken Educators

 

 

The surprise guest is Lowell Milken, founder of the Milken Educator Awards. He tells the students at Johnston-Hopkins Elementary that teachers have the most important job in the country: preparing them to be successful as they move on to the next stage of learning and life.

More than three decades ago Lowell Milken created the Milken Educator Awards, an initiative that recognizes and rewards outstanding educators around the U.S. every year. And this year, he says, one of the country's top educators is right here in New Iberia. Who is it? He explains that he is looking for a "role model who is all about excellence every single day."
