Catherine Randall Named Louisiana Milken Educator

Catherine Randall gets a hand holding her oversized Milken Educator Award check from her proud third-grade students at Davies Elementary. In 2008-09, Randall served as the district's curriculum coordinator, but her heart was in the classroom. She returned to teaching third grade after only a year, telling the district that she would make a bigger contribution by practicing her craft, testing best practices, developing effective interventions, and providing frontline input into district decisions.
