The teacher who is about to receive the Milken Educator Award also gets a cash prize. How much? One digit at a time, students hold up cards representing the amount of the Award. When North Carolina Superintendent of Public Instruction Dr. June Atkinson brings in the final zero, the crowd goes wild: $25,000!
