Arizona's Newest Milken Educator Is Aga Cook

Camp Mohave Elementary School is welcoming Arizona Deputy Superintendent of Public Instruction Margaret Dugan for an important assembly to celebrate the school's "A" rating. But there's one more special guest about to take the microphone—and he's here to reveal a life-altering surprise for one educator! The Camp Mohave Coyotes go wild when National Institute for Excellence in Teaching Chief Executive Officer Dr. Joshua Barnett, representing the Milken Family Foundation, surprises Aga Cook with an Arizona 2023-24 Milken Educator Award and a huge check for $25,000. The day instantly becomes one this fifth grade teacher, K-8 curriculum coordinator and data coach will remember for the rest of her life. Cook is the first recipient in Mohave Valley Elementary School District and the 2,959th Milken Educator recognized on the journey to our 3,000th Milken Award announcement.
