Veteran Milken Educators introduce themselves to the assembly, and students spot a familiar face: Kristi Grooms, also an English teacher at Dutch Forks Middle School, who won South Carolina's Milken Educator Award in this same school in 2013. Flanked by fellow Milken Educators Dr. Peggy Makins (SC ’02, left) and Dr. Zona Jefferson (SC ’96), Kristi tells students about her own experience as a member of the Milken Educator Network.
