Alison Ter Horst Wins SD Milken Award

With Milken Educator Awards Senior Vice President Dr. Jane Foley looking on proudly, Alison Ter Horst shares some thoughts with the students, colleagues and guests at her surprise notification. "I am surrounded by really good educators—I can't accept this alone," she says.
In addition to teaching psychology, Alison was chosen to pilot the Sioux Falls School District's new Teacher Pathway. "Every day I tell my aspiring educators that what they do is important," she tells the assembly. "They will be able to affect the lives of others."
