In a public ceremony in front of her family, fellow Milken Educators, Department of Education officials, and city, state and national government representatives, Candace was presented with resolutions in her honor and, of course, her Milken Educator obelisk.
The entire half-hour event was videoed and posted to the Indiana Department of Education YouTube channel so that, like her award presentation, we can all share in the inspiring experience.
