Master Teacher Theresa Cross Wins LA Milken Award

 

 

The special guest is Lowell Milken, chairman and co-founder of the Milken Family Foundation, who tells the assembly that while teachers have the most important job in the country, they are seldom recognized for their work. "I created the Milken Educator Awards to honor, celebrate and recognize what our teachers do," he says. This year, one of the educators at Alice M. Harte is about to receive this honor. Who is it? "We're looking for an educator who believes that every student can learn and achieve at high levels, mentors other teachers and is invested in the community," he says.
