Surprise, Principal Timothy Thomas: You’re an AZ Milken Educator!

 

Rogers Ranch Principal Timothy Thomas calls his wife, who teaches second grade in a nearby school, to share the good news. "The assembly was for me, honey!" he tells her. Lowell Milken, chairman and co-founder of the Milken Family Foundation, explains to Thomas' wife that the $25,000 is an unrestricted prize; they will be able to use it however they choose. "We know you make sacrifices to go into education," Milken says.
