Texas Governor Greg Abbott presents TAP Master Teacher Amber Simpson with her blue embossed Milken Educator Award envelope as veteran Milken Educator Dr. Gary Stark (AR '01), CEO of the National Institute for Excellence in Teaching and a representative of the Milken Family Foundation, looks on with pride. Simpson is the only educator in Texas to win the Award for the 2016-17 30th anniversary season and the first Milken Educator from the Somerset Independent School District.
