John Lary Wins Louisiana Milken Educator Award

Lowell Milken visits John Lary's classroom. In addition to teaching AP U.S. and European history, Lary sponsors the Gayarre History Club, which holds an essay contest each year for all high school students in Caddo Parish Public Schools. A panel of students and teachers judges the essays; winners read their essays at an annual conference, and the essays are published in a paperback available on Amazon.com.
