On her way to accept her Milken Educator Award, Shannon becomes even more emotional when she discovers another surprise: her father, also a Milken Educator, was hiding and waiting in the wings to congratulate her! Tom Ryan (NM '99) was the principal at Del Norte High School when he won the Award more than 15 years ago.
