Teacher Christal Bookhamer is a Milken Educator

 

 

At Loflin Middle School, the assembly starts with students reciting three pledges of allegiance: one to the U.S., one to Texas and one to the school itself. For teachers, there is a fourth, unspoken pledge: to do everything they can to develop these students to their potential. It’s that last pledge that, unbeknownst to them, we are here to celebrate.
