Willie Amos is Principal at Simons High School in Hollandale where he has initiated such programs as the Jobs for Mississippi's Graduates Program and the Rural Entrepreneurship Program. His efforts in curriculum expansion, which include a daily reading program and higher level math and science, have resulted in increased reading vocabulary and FLE scores. As an educator, Mr. Amos sees each of his accomplishments "as a step toward the next challenge." He aims toward his goal of meeting the essential needs of each of his students by emphasizing open communication, high achievement, and mutual respect.
