William LePore teaches art at Crater High School in Central Point. His active involvement on the Oregon Art Education Association board and his innovative programs have been models for art educators statewide. Mr. LePore is founding director of southern Oregon's "Best of the Best" regional student art exhibit, which makes use of the cooperative resources of local schools, business and industry, local art galleries and Southern Oregon State College. He also created and implemented the curriculum for his school's Advanced Placement History of Art program, the only one offered in Oregon, and received a grant to develop a talented and gifted art program. Mr. LePore was Oregon's nominee to the National Art Education Association for the 1991 Pacific Region Secondary Art Educator Award.
