As math support specialist at a school where 85 percent of students are eligible for free or reduced-price lunch, Cross excels at helping students understand concepts and modeling effective instruction for teachers. She has embraced the concept of integrated teaching and brings the classroom alive with hands-on projects, not only in math, but in science, reading and other curricular areas as well. She has served as a building math lead since 2004, partnering with the District Math Committee to improve professional practices within her school.
