At Bullard Elementary School in Kennesaw, Toni Lujan-Greene provided gifted services to students in grades K-5. From 1996-2020 Lujan-Green was at West Side Elementary School in Marietta, fourth-grade teacher where she collaborated with fellow teachers to provide an interdisciplinary curriculum inclusive of all students. She created several elective science courses such as "It's Alive" and "Good Golly Geology." These courses supported experience based inquiry, utilized Web 2.0 tools and highlighted the gifts and talents of all students. Mrs. Lujan-Greene was teaching at West Side for over fourteen years and became an integral part of the community. She frequently tutored former students on her own time, and sometimes served as a translator for Spanish-speaking families.
Ms. Lujan-Greene is currently retired residing in El Paso, Texas. She works part-time as Orton Gillingham trained reading tutor.
