At Green Bay East High School in Green Bay, principal Terry Fondow has provided students with numerous opportunities for sustained academic achievement. Working closely with school and district staff, parents, neighborhood groups, local businesses and institutions of higher education, Mr. Fondow has developed career academies, established after-school academic and recreational programs, and implemented a successful technology-based curriculum for high school drop-outs. He has boosted community pride by spearheading efforts to remodel the school and make improvements to a nearby park. In addition to his duties as principal, Mr. Fondow serves as the district's science committee and leads a workshop on assessment for physical education and low-impact sports.
