Sylvia Mills teaches seventh-grade social studies at Desert Ridge Middle School in Albuquerque. Having retired after teaching 29 years in elementary school, she has returned to teaching as part of New Mexico's Return to Work Program. She continues to "strive to make technology a natural part of the environment," incorporating technology in the social studies program. Mrs. Mills continues to focus on the skills needed for the whole child to succeed in this ever-changing world.
