Susan Olesen works part time for Iowa School Finance Information Services (ISFIS) where she directs several technology programs that support schools in their important work in school improvement. While school central office personnel have plenty of data, the people who need it most are teachers. With good data, instructional support, and relevant and compelling curricular materials, teachers can plan effective instruction, determine the value of interventions, explain student learning related to standards to parents, and many other uses. Susie is grateful every day for the energy and integrity of public school educators. America must support public education.Â
