Sue (Cain) Snow teaches mathematics to eighth grade students at Carrollton Junior High School in Carrollton. Ms. (Cain) Snow received funding from a number of industries for PROSTAR, an after-school tutorial program she developed to motivate children who are at-risk. She has also developed a volunteer reading program that pairs middle grade students with Head Start children. Ms. (Cain) Snow plays an active role as a member of several educational committees on local, state and regional levels, working to "create a positive classroom environment that is rich in real-life activity tied to the community." Says Ms. (Cain) Snow, "It is important to me to share the positive aspects and successes of the profession with other educators and the community through speeches and workshops."
