In addition to being a first-grade teacher at Ashburton Elementary-Middle School in Baltimore, Stephanie Terry is also a teacher researcher/consultant with the National Writing Project, the Urban Teachers Writing Network, and the Maryland Writing Project. Her integrated curriculum turns young scribblers into polished writers and strong readers, with works published through her "Student Writers' Publishing Program." Equally accomplished in science education, she participates as a teacher consultant in the Elementary Science Integration Project, a National Science Foundation-funded project that combines science with language arts. Ms. Terry was featured in the Mr. Wizzard Foundation's Excellent Teachers of Science video series, and has worked to develop a Baltimore City Elementary School for the Arts.
