Fourth-grade teacher Stephanie Blackburn helps both students and fellow teachers learn how to use technology effectively at Bradford Elementary School in Bradford. Through the Expert Program, she provides students with in-depth training to become experts on a particular software application, serving as tutors for their classmates in the use of that application. In collaboration with the first-grade teachers in her building, Mrs. Blackburn developed the Coaching Buddies program in which her fourth graders conduct research on the Internet and deliver a multimedia presentation to help answer the first graders' questions on various curricular subjects. As a master teacher in Intel's Teach to the Future Program, she trains teachers at all ability levels on using technology to improve student achievement. Mrs. Blackburn is a member of the School Improvement Team and chairs the school climate committee.
