Stacey Atwood is currently the principal at St. Thomas More School in Munster, Indiana. Previously, Mrs. Atwood served as director of technology for the East Porter County School Corporation. During her four years in this role, she secured over a quarter of a million dollars in technology. Projects included library automation, implementation of the Waterford Early Reading Program, district-wide distance learning via videoconferencing, and the creation of a competency-based model for teacher professional development in technology. Mrs. Atwood has taught various grades at both the elementary and middle school levels. In 1997 she was the Indiana recipient of the Christa McAuliffe Fellowship and was a state finalist for the Presidential Award for Excellence in Math and Science Teaching in 2000. Mrs. Atwood has also earned a master's degree in learning and technology through a Milken Family Foundation scholarship with Western Governor's University.
