As the principal of Stratfield School in Fairfield, Roger Previs leads a school community of more than 1000 students, parents and staff who work as a team. Mr. Previs considers his qualities as "a team builder and a team activator" to be his greatest strengths as an educator. "The most rewarding experience I have had as an educator," he says, "is my association with the 55 professionals who, for the past seven years, have never wavered in their quest for excellence in education." Under his direction, this team introduced several programs including "Science for the Future," which both focuses on scientific literacy for the students and familiarizes teachers with cutting-edge research and teaching strategies. Mr. Previs has also introduced numerous community outreach programs through which professionals from the community make an invaluable contribution to students' awareness of the world around them.
