Rhonda Gardner currently serves as the Director of Academics and Advising for the Academy for Technology and the Classics in Santa Fe, New Mexico. Rhonda Gardner previously worked in the Anchorage School District for 21 years, where she served as teacher, No Child Left Behind Coordinator, Director of Accountability and School Improvement, and Assistant Superintendent for Instruction. From there she served as education consultant in Alaska working for the state department of education and districts in the state. She also served as a Peer Reviewer for the state and district Race to the Top competitions. Working on collective impact efforts in Anchorage, Rhonda served as Director of Community Action for Education for the United Way of Anchorage for a year before relocating to Santa Fe, NM. In Santa Fe, Rhonda served the Santa Fe Public Schools as Director of Teaching and Learning before returning to her first love of teaching. After teaching English for ten years at the Academy for Technology and the Classics, a 7-12 charter school in Santa Fe, she has moved into her new role as Director of Academics and Advising where she looks forward to helping students achieve their dreams.
