Having taught various grade levels at Monroe Elementary School in Santa Rosa, Phyllis Turner currently teaches a class integrating fifth and sixth graders. Ms. Turner's classroom exhibits the dynamics of curriculum reform and exemplifies an atmosphere that emphasizes the development of self-esteem and personal growth. Outstanding student performance attests to Ms. Turner's power as a role model. Outside the classroom, Ms. Turner is a distinguished trainer of new and experienced teachers. She teaches a variety of instructional strategies and assists in implementing the English Language Arts Framework.
