Teacher Mikki Nuckols has embraced a variety of innovative teaching strategies and initiatives to help her students improve their reading and writing at Rocky Mountain Middle School in Idaho Falls. Mikki Nuckols currently works as the Media Specialist at Hillcrest High School in Idaho Falls. Nuckols also serves as the school's testing coordinator. Her experience as a teacher at Rocky Mountain Middle School has prepared her for her new role supporting ELA teachers to teach research skills and support senior projects. Her research-based instructional practices, excellent communication skills, high expectations, and outstanding rapport with young people have helped her achieve strong, consistent academic growth among students at all levels.
Making the move to a high school media specialist was the best move of my career. I get to work with all of the students in the building.
