Michael Kinnaird is not only the principal of the new Advanced Technologies Academy in Las Vegas, he was instrumental in its development and construction, and designed its curriculum and admissions process. Nicknamed "A-Tech," the academy is a magnet school designed specifically to integrate technology into the curriculum and offers programs in areas such as business and finance, computer graphics and technology applications. Mr. Kinnaird's administrative experience also includes having presided over the complex transition of his previous school from a junior high to a middle school. He has won numerous awards, including a 1997 Principal of the Year Award by the National Association of Secondary School Principals.
