Dr. Mary Meade-Montaque's career spans all educational levels. She began her career in New York City as a high school science and math teacher. On the college level, she served as Assistant Professor of Experiential Education and Director of the Career Life Planning Center, Chemistry Instructor and also as an Adjunct Professor of Education. Prior to becoming a District Manager, she worked for 15 years as an Elementary School Principal. During her years as a principal she cultivated the support of community leaders, city and school officials, staff, parents and children to ensure the success of her students. This included addressing the individual academic and social-emotional needs of students through the design and implementation of new curriculum, implementing completely inclusive special education programming, improving science and math education and strategic scheduling. Principal leadership that supports both teacher and student growth and development was the focus of Dr. Meade-Montaque's dissertation and work as a District Administrator. The emphasis of her work centered on school turnaround leadership, supporting school administrators and teacher leaders in their development of effective practices that improve student learning. As a retired educational leader Dr. Meade-Montaque currently is an Educational Consultant supporting school leaders in various districts, schools, and educational organizations.
