Melinda Frazier is best described by one word - "involved." Outside the classroom she is active in 4H, Girl Scout and PTSA, in addition to the Pershing County Classroom Teachers Association and the National State Teacher of the Year Organization. In her community, she has promoted school involvement with her Adopt-A-Teacher Program. She has served as a mentor for other teachers and has earned various awards for her efforts. Her greatest reward, however, seems to have come from the satisfaction of having done "something extra" in her classroom to encourage young learners. In her classroom, students are given a strong and clear message that their potential is limitless.
