Promoted to Assistant Superintendent for Montville Public Schools in 2013, Laurie Pallin still teaches one section of Advanced Placement Chemistry and serves as an adjunct professor in the education program at University of New Haven. In her new role, Laurie is directly involved in promoting effective instructional strategies, using the teacher evaluation system to promote development of exemplary teachers, writing curriculum which ensures rigor for all students, and using assessment data to monitor for student growth. Her passion remains in working with students at both the high school and graduate level, and she enjoys exciting students about the possibility of entering careers in either chemistry or education. She is proud that both of her grown daughters have entered the field of education.
