"It is my good fortune to work in a school district and for an administration that have identified the need for technology as a priority in our schools," says Laurie Haag, a teacher of advanced word processing and advanced computer applications at Richardton High School in Richardton. As an active member of the North Dakota Curriculum Council and the chair-elect for the Technology and Teaching Conference, Ms. Haag is involved in technology planning on a statewide and local level. In an effort to improve the network of communication and the exchange of knowledge among educators, Ms. Haag helped initiate a program called TUG-North Dakota Technology User Group. At her school, Ms. Haag is also responsible for developing a comprehensive technology program that focuses on teacher training and the application of technology to all content areas.
