Larry Moye taught math at Barrow High School. President-Elect of the Alaska Math Consortium and an officer of the Alaska Math Consortium and an officer of the Alaska Association for Computers in Education, he was the 1990 recipient of the Secondary Math Presidential Award. Mr. Moye weaved cross-cultural teaching techniques into his math and computer classes, balancing creativity and tradition, cultural heritage and contemporary needs. He was a teacher who viewed everything as a possible resource, and parents would be the first to tell you that his enthusiasm for education was infectious. Mr. Moye offered math and computer courses to peers, parents and community members on a voluntary basis.
