Lara Cabaniss is a graduate of the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, and she received her Master's Degree from Gardner-Webb University. She loves working and teaching in Cabarrus County's STEM schools with their amazing teachers. This year she is serving as the STEM Coach at R. Brown McAllister and Winecoff. She is proud of her county's ten STEM schools and the growth that they have experienced. She is excited about the future because she knows they are teaching remarkable students that will have an incredible impact on the world. She is married to her best friend, and they have twins in their first year of college. In her spare time, she loves to travel with her family, work jigsaw puzzles, and do geeky science things!
