Dr. Corner is the middle school counselor and a multi-sport coach at Dove Mountain CSTEM K-8. Previously, Dr. Corner served as a counselor at Quail Run Elementary, Marana High, and Marana Middle School. Prior to that, he was the principal at Cross Middle School where he helped create an innovative, technology-infused instructional program that was selected as the state winner for the IT in Schools Achievement Award. Before that, he taught at Mountain View High School. Dr. Corner was selected as a recipient of the Milken Family Foundation National Educator Award, a State Teacher of the Year Ambassador of Excellence for Arizona, and the University of Arizona/Circle K High School Teacher of the Year. He also served as a youth corrections counselor in a detention facility, to start his career.
Dr. Corner has dedicated his career to the improvement of young people’s lives through academic, athletic, and social opportunities for growth and excellence. His greatest reward as an educator is using his role as a motivator, challenger, and facilitator of information to create positive experiences in people’s lives that result in awakening and amplifying their true potential.
