Whatever the project, Kelley Morand puts forth 110%. This dynamic English teacher models caring and commitment to the students and the staff. To provide support for incoming students, she implemented a transition orientation program and a year-long peer mentoring program. Her peer mentors volunteer with elementary children as buddies and tutors, provide violence prevention training for middle school students, and mentor younger peers in their own school. Former students continually return to thank her for providing the inspiration they needed to reach for their highest level of achievement and continued service. She is focused on empowering her students to discover and develop their unique talents.
