Science, social studies and reading teacher Judy Wolfe brings practices of open inquiry and scientific precision into her classroom at Havre Middle School in Havre. A former microbiologist and clinical pathologist, Ms. Wolfe shares her real-world work experience with her students. She further enhances her curriculum with numerous resources and speakers from local public agencies, hospitals, and universities. Her innovative programs include the Museum of the Rockies Science-By-Mail program for gifted seventh-graders, a cross-age tutoring program to enhance the environmental curriculum, and a school-based recycling program that has promoted community involvement. Ms. Wolfe is a member of several professional organizations, including the Association of Gifted and Talented Educators.
