Jordy Whitmer, educational technology specialist at Birmingham Covington School in Bloomfield Hills, has long advocated the integration of technology across all content areas. Mr. Whitmer guides students on using computers for research and to represent their learning. Students create projects with a wide variety of tools, with hypermedia and video being the primary focus. In addition, Mr Whitmer provides workshops for teachers throughout the state through his company Left Foot Right Foot Technology and the Michigan Association for Computer Users in Learning (MACUL).
1) Expanding the concept of "writing" to benefit from the strengths of hypermedia.
2) Teaching video production to beginners.
I'd love to work with anyone else explring these topics!
