John Pandolfo is currently serving as Superintendent of the Telluride School District in Telluride Colorado. Prior to moving to Telluride in 2020, John was the Superintendent of Schools for the Barre Unified Union School District in Barre, Vermont from 2015-2020, and as the Director of Curriculum, Instruction and Assessment for the Barre Supervisory Union from 2012-2015. In 2019 John received the Frederick H. Tuttle Award as Vermont's Superintendent of the Year. Before moving into administration, John taught high school mathematics for nineteen years. He taught Advanced Placement Calculus or Statistics for fifteen years and has served as an AP Exam Reader. John worked as teacher and Department Head of Mathematics at U-32 High School in East Montpelier, Vermont; as teacher and Department Head of Mathematics at Spaulding High School in Barre, Vermont; as mathematics teacher at Berkeley High School in Berkeley, California, and as teacher and Department Head of Mathematics at John O'Connell Technical Alternative High School in San Francisco. Educated as a Chemical Engineer, John began his professional career with United Technologies Corporation in Connecticut working on research, development, and commercial testing of fuel cell power plants. John also holds a Master's Degree in Business Administration.
