Jeremy Jones is the Chief Learning Leader of Decatur Heritage Christian Academy in Decatur, Alabama. Previously, he served as professor and assistant director of clinical experiences at Athens State University in Athens. Jeremy Jones was the chief learning officer, elementary division, of the Morgan County School District in Decatur. As a former principal and instructional leader of Danville-Neel Elementary School, he made dramatic improvements in curriculum and instruction. In 2003, Danville-Neel was recognized as a "Banner School of Excellence" by the Council for Leaders in Alabama Schools (CLAS) for its commitment to enhancing literacy skills and improving instructional opportunities. Jeremy was honored in 2004 with the Anne Richardson "Reading Is Fundamental" National Educator of the Year award for his commitment to improving literacy in the state of Alabama. He chaired the North Alabama Teacher Exchange (NATE), a partnership among eight school districts and Athens State University, aimed at promoting professional learning and instruction in the elementary curriculum.
