Teacher Jane Davidsaver is now retired. At the time of her award, Jane Davidsaver pioneered the Talented and Gifted (TAG) program at Winnemucca Grammar School in Winnemucca and helped to write guidelines for the program that are still in effect today. Mrs. Davidsaver created a program called "CPU Time," which provides individualized, hands-on and project-based computer instruction. She has been a member of the Humboldt County Technology Committee for three years, during which time she helped write the county's computer curriculum. Mrs. Davidsaver has also developed an integrated theme-based curriculum that extends students' horizons well beyond rural Winnemucca. She has been a successful Odyssey of the Mind coach, leading her students to competition at state and national levels.
