James Bryn has worked to inspire both his students and colleagues at Sparks High School. In his field of science, he served as a teacher trainer and a sponsor of the National Honor Society, and he has been involved in writing curriculum designed to help secure state-of-the-art technology for instruction in his school. A 1988 recipient of the Presidential Award for Excellence in Teaching as well as other awards, Mr. Bryn has conducted research at the Argonne National Laboratory under the auspices of the Department of Energy. A dedicated educator, he is adept at reaching students at all levels of instruction. His ability to motivate students strengthens an exemplary faculty at Sparks.
