Harold Taylor, an elementary teacher at Lincoln Early and Middle Elementary in Ypsilanti, is a teacher, researcher and author best known for programs that involve the community in academic life. His "A" team consists of parents and educators who collaborate to enhance curricula; his Saturday activities bring local people into the school; and his Share-itage Festival is a widely supported event that transforms the school grounds into a "museum for a day," attracting 3,000 students and community members. Mr. Taylor is active in the Michigan Math and Science Network, and was a Michigan Teacher of the Year nominee.
