Teacher Gail Dahling-Hench launched the second- and third-grade looping program at Cherry Brook Primary School in Canton, where she continually creates and implements innovative approaches and curricula that prompt her students to explore new topics in depth. A grade-level leader and member of the district-wide curriculum and professional development team, Ms. Dahling-Hench has developed a range of interdisciplinary science-based courses, including an innovative K-12 program in partnership with the Mystic Marine Life Aquarium Institute. She conducts annual science workshops statewide through PIMMS (Project to Increase Mastery in Mathematics and Science) and is a cooperating and mentor teacher through the BEST program. Ms. Dahling-Hench recently completed a one-year administrative internship at Cherry Brook Primary School.
