Francis Chamberlain coordinates staff development for the Napa County Office of Education. He is also the director of the Outdoor Challenge Program in Napa, which addresses "at-risk" youth and involves students in day-long outdoor learning sessions. Mr. Chamberlain was named Teacher of the Year in 1984 while teaching mathematics, English and social studies at the Community School in Napa, which was established for children with social behavior problems.
